CD Problems

By Anonymous - Posted on 20 August 2009

I have the 3/e of the Primer. One problem is that most of the html content on the CD is unreadable (at least on a Mac with the latest version of Safari. The root index.html file comes mostly okay, but without any images. All the other links display non-ASCII text that is not interpreted as html. Is it possible to get a replacement CD or are the CD contents available online? I have already made use of what is available in Downloads but that does not include the full contents of the CD provided with the book. I have tried a wide variety of approaches to getting the content to load but it seems to be very fundamentally corrupted.

I am using the text as a back ground resource for a 12th grade (high school) honors level course in geosciences, with a focus on climate modelling.

Yes... who knows what happened to the CD. Something has been garbled in the duplication process for a recent printing. I've just sent a replacement CD to Wiley. They are working on replacement CDs. You need to contact Izzy Canning (icanning@wiley.com). She will be able to help you get a replacement CD -- Kendal
